Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation. You can help us help those in need by volunteering some of your time. See below for information on what we require, including duties and responsibilities.

Volunteer role description and person specification
St. Andrews Community Church run a monthly community lunch and a weekly social hub. We require help to cook and serve meals. All volunteers report to Julia Gell.
Main duties
- To offer support and a listening ear to all who attend our social gatherings
- To act in a non-judgmental and welcoming manner
- To assist with preparing and cooking of meals
- To assist with serving meals
- To assist with clearing up after events
Person specification
- Good communication skills essential
- Sense of humour
- Understanding of and empathy with the needs of people in crisis
- Patience and sensitivity
- DBS checked
Hours of work
Minimum of 2.5 hours per month, as agreed with Julia Gell. Volunteers should notify Julia at the earliest opportunity in the event of not being able to attend, e.g. sickness.
